Are you stupid or ignorant
63Stupidity
Stupid: –adjective 1. lacking ordinary quickness and keenness of mind; dull. 2. characterized by or proceeding from mental dullness; foolish; senseless: a stupid question. 3. tediously dull, especially due to lack of meaning or sense; inane; pointless: a stupid party. That is the definition according to Mariam-Webster for the word stupid. In essence someone that is stupid is someone that does not have the ability to learn the task at hand. No matter how much time and effort they put into making themselves understand, it is quite possible they may never get it. But there is no one person in this life that does not have the ability to learn. As stated even things in this life can be considered to be stupid, because their place or function has been deemed either meaningless or inadequate. But it is my firm belief that even someone that is categorized as being stupid still has the ability to learn and achieve in life. You just have to make sure that you have the right teacher showing them all the possibilities of how to learn the task at hand. As a former employee working in retail management there were plenty of stupid people that I had to deal with on a daily basis. But when all was said and done they walked away with knowledge and understanding to their situation. So I know from experience that stupid people can learn.
Ignorance
Ignorant –adjective 1. lacking in knowledge or training; unlearned: an ignorant man. 2. lacking knowledge or information as to a particular subject or fact: ignorant of quantum physics. 3.uninformed; unaware. Now we get to some of my favorite people, those that are ignorant. You see I have always worked on the basic philosophy that stupid people can not be taught, but ignorant people can be but choose not to learn. An ignorant person can be given all of the tools and opportunities to learn in a situation, but by their own choice and admission will not learn the knowledge that is being given to them. The definition gives the example of being ignorant of quantum physics. To clarify on that, a person can be ignorant to the workings of quantum physics, but at least have the knowledge of what quantum physics are. Just because you are unable to understand how the math works doesn't mean that you can't understand that it's a form of math. I've heard the saying before that ignorance is bliss, well if that were truly the case then half the people in this world should be walking around in a mindset euphoria. I have this situation that i'm currently dealing with where I live. My neighbor has started her own campaign against me, wanting to ensure that I get evicted from my apartment, all due to a friendship between her and another woman that lives out here going south, a woman that I happen to still be friends with. To date in the last 30 days my neighbor has filed 2 noise complaints against me, on days that I wasn't even home. In that I find this situation to be hilarious. But because of the ignorance of the management staff here at the complex I actually have been served with an eviction notice. I have to come up with written affidavits from my boss and others here in the complex to prove that I was not here on the days mentioned. I am appalled by the ignorance being displayed by the members of this management firm running this place. It baffles my mind trying to understand how these people were ever allowed to apply for their position let alone get the position. I'm speechless. All comments on this are more than welcome, i'm actually looking forward to them. Thank you for reading, and I hope you all have a great night.

Don't underestimate ignorance. In it's worst display it puts you, with your rational mind in jeopardy.
Interesting. Nice discussion of the two words. And it seems interesting to me that the root of ignorance is "ignore." The next word that comes to mind is "arrogance."
Some more words which are useful on the situation in which you find yourself: ego, victim, perpetrator, humility, forgiveness. Powerful concepts, these.
Whenever I find myself becoming victim -- and your "outrageous" incident is but a firecracker to some supernovae which occur in life -- I try to take 100% responsibility for it. Not 50%, but the whole enchilada! Why? Because it leaves no room for resentment. Ego (my own) doesn't have a leg to stand on. And I can no longer be victim, in part because I am no longer vulnerable. I merely place myself in the hands of God and give the perpetrators all the love I can create (and that's a lot of love -- entire galaxies full of it). That's my ideal scene. All too often, I don't live up to it, but I keep working at it. In one instance, the forgiveness was so complete and true that it took me thirty years to realize that I had forgotten the transgressions of those other drivers.
In Buddhism, if I understand it correctly, the worst ignorance is the essence of selfishness, or ego. And in Christianity, it may very well be that ego is the self which has to die before we can gain everlasting life. Ego is the burden (the false self); the child of God, within, is the freedom we seek.

Nice hub. I think that stupid, though, implies that it's partly the persons fault for being stupid. Also, I think you should organize your hubs layout for aesthetic purposes.
